Key Responsibilities- Professional Standards: Adhere to organizational policies and procedures, ensuring reliability and attendance. Maintain confidentiality and comply with HIPAA standards.
- Communication: Effectively communicate with patients, families, and team members to ensure continuity of care. Participate in pre-operative briefings and provide ongoing assessments during surgical procedures.
- Preparation and Planning: Prepare the surgical environment by organizing sterile instruments and supplies. Anticipate the needs of the surgical team and maintain a well-structured sterile field.
- Execution: Implement aseptic techniques and assist in managing intra-operative patient care. Ensure all procedures are performed accurately to guarantee patient safety.
- Collaboration: Work closely with the surgical team to facilitate efficient room turnovers and assist with emergency situations as needed.
- Education: Graduate of an accredited Surgical Technology program.
- Certifications: Basic Life Support and Surgical Technologist Certification required upon hire.
- Experience: Preferred candidates will have 2 to 5 years of experience in a surgical setting.
