Job Summary

Cypress HCM is seeking a highly skilled Senior Software Developer to join their team in Brooklyn Park, Minnesota. The ideal candidate will have 3-5 years of experience with XCode, Visual Studio, or Android Studio IDE development, as well as a strong understanding of electronics and analog, power, and digital circuits.

The successful candidate will be responsible for developing iOS software and testing applications for use in interfacing medical device hardware. This includes creating interfaces to Medical Implant Communication System (MICS) base stations and implants, developing software test plans and test protocols, and authoring software unit test, integration/UI test, and regression test code.

The ideal candidate will have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, as well as the ability to work effectively in a team environment. A Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or Computer Program Engineering is preferred, but 5 years of professional experience in medical device software will be considered in lieu of a degree.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop iOS software and testing applications for use in interfacing medical device hardware
  • Create interfaces to MICS base stations and implants
  • Develop software test plans and test protocols
  • Author software unit test, integration/UI test, and regression test code
  • Participate in product development meetings and software/hardware design and risk analysis reviews
  • Ensure that medical device components are compliant with applicable international standards and requirements
  • Maintain software/hardware design history file and participate in periodic phase reviews
  • Report defects to stakeholders and create test logs
  • Provide inputs to the team to improve medical device design and test outcomes

Requirements:

  • 3-5 years of experience with XCode, Visual Studio, or Android Studio IDE development
  • Strong understanding of electronics and analog, power, and digital circuits
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment
  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or Computer Program Engineering (preferred)

Salary: $140-$180K depending on skills
