Work Schedule:
Fri-Sun; 6am to 6pm/6pm to 6am (includes a paid break) with a 15% shift differential.

POSITION OVERVIEW:
Reporting to the Department Manager, this role is pivotal in the production of components within our machining department. We specialize in high-precision metal machining, finishing, assembly, and anodizing processes for medical devices.

The ideal candidate will uphold ISO 13485 standards, execute basic setups, operate machinery, and conduct visual and dimensional inspections on machined parts.


KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Adhere to the TOMZ Quality Management System.
- Operate and maintain production equipment, including Citizen Lathes, Tsugami Lathes, Index multi-spindle lathes, Willemin Mill turns, and various 3-4-5 axis mills.
- Perform offsets and tool changes to ensure efficient production.
- Set up basic legacy components for steady production.

- Conduct visual and dimensional inspections using tools such as microscopes, micrometers, calipers, and thread gauges.

- Carry out preventive maintenance on equipment as scheduled.
- Engage in problem-solving for basic machine or process issues.
- Complete documentation related to Quality Inspection standards.
- Ensure proper material control and traceability throughout the manufacturing process.
- Support Quality Best Practices and continuous improvement initiatives.

- Utilize ERP and QMS systems for documentation and traceability activities.

- Maintain a safe working environment and comply with occupational safety and health regulations, including the use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).

Additional duties may be assigned as necessary.

QUALIFICATIONS:
Education:
- High school diploma, GED, or equivalent work experience in a manufacturing or engineering field is preferred.
- Certification from a technical school program is advantageous.

Experience:
- Minimum of 2-3 years in a regulated manufacturing environment.

Skills:
- Experience in Class I, II, and/or III Medical Device manufacturing.
- Familiarity with regulated industries (e.g., Aerospace, Defense, Pharmaceutical).
- Knowledge of GMP/ISO standards.
- Proficient in the use and maintenance of mechanical equipment and inspection processes.
- Capable of using hand tools for maintenance and tool changes.
- Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and collaboratively.
- Strong ability to read and interpret blueprints, specifications, and procedures.
- Attention to detail and accuracy in completing tasks in a timely manner.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.

Physical Requirements:
While performing the duties of this position, the employee is frequently required to sit, talk, hear, and use hands to manipulate objects or controls. The employee must be able to stand and walk regularly and may occasionally lift up to 30 pounds while handling tools or equipment.
