Key Responsibilities:

Reporting to the Warehouse Supervisor, the Logistics Operations Specialist will be accountable for the efficient unloading and loading of transport vehicles. Additional responsibilities encompass:

  • Utilizing both stand-up and sit-down forklifts and/or pallet jacks for order packing and vehicle loading/unloading.
  • Ensuring the accuracy of received materials and verifying quantities.
  • Coordinating the movement of incoming materials to designated areas.
  • Conducting pre-shift safety inspections and maintaining the assigned motorized equipment.
  • Reviewing orders for precision and completeness.
  • Upholding cleanliness and organization in warehouse, receiving, and shipping dock zones.
  • Accurately completing all relevant documentation in accordance with established procedures.
  • Adhering to safety protocols and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) related to warehousing and safety tasks.
  • Performing additional tasks as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • A High School Diploma or equivalent is mandatory.
  • Certification for operating sit-down and stand-up forklifts is required.
  • A minimum of 2 years of experience in warehousing is preferred.
  • Familiarity with ERP systems is advantageous.
  • Experience with UPS/FedEx shipping processes is a plus.

Essential Skills:

  • Ability to safely lift up to 75 pounds.
  • Demonstrated urgency in executing job responsibilities.
  • Basic mathematical proficiency.
  • Strong communication skills.
