Job Summary

At the Skin and Cancer Institute, we are seeking a highly skilled Pharmacy Technician to join our team. As a Pharmacy Technician, you will play a vital role in supporting our pharmacological services by stocking, assembling, and distributing medications.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintain accurate inventory levels by checking pharmaceutical stock and anticipating needed medications and supplies.
  • Support health care providers and patients by greeting them in person and by phone, answering questions and requests, and referring inquiries to the pharmacist.
  • Organize medications for pharmacist to dispense by reading medication orders and prescriptions, preparing labels, calculating quantities, and assembling intravenous solutions and other pharmaceutical therapies.
  • Maintain records by recording and filing physicians' orders and prescriptions.
  • Generate revenues by calculating, recording, and issuing charges.
  • Ensure medication availability by delivering medications to patients and departments.
  • Prepare reports by collecting and summarizing information.

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Pharmacy technician certification or training preferred.
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
