As a Pediatric Behavioral Health Specialist with Optum, you will be part of a collaborative integrated model working directly with Pediatric Primary Care providers. Your role will involve screening, assessing, triaging, and treating patients with various behavioral health and psychological conditions, including all levels of acuity in our Metrowest communities.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide behavioral health consultation and treatment for pediatric primary care patients ages 0-24.
  • Complete real-time, initial consultations, and scheduled follow-up care as needed.
  • Deliver short-term, effective, evidence-based, individual, family, and/or group-based interventions to help children and families achieve targeted behavioral goals.
  • Enhance patient engagement by providing brief problem-focused interventions; behavioral activation, motivational interviewing, etc.
  • Collaborate as a member of a multi-disciplinary integrated team including prescribers, PCPs, nurses, and medical assistants for the development and delivery of treatment plans.

Required Qualifications:

  • Clinical Psychologist OR LICSW
  • Unlimited licensure in the state of Massachusetts

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience working within an integrated model
  • CANS Assessor certification
  • Minimum 3 years practice experience
