Position Overview

The Medical University of South Carolina is seeking a dedicated individual for the role of Administrative Assistant within the Public Safety department. This position plays a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of various administrative functions.

Essential Qualifications:

  • A high school diploma coupled with two years of relevant work experience. A bachelor's degree may be considered in lieu of work experience.
  • Some roles may necessitate a valid driver's license, correctable vision, and specific physical qualifications.
  • Eligibility for bonding may be required for certain positions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • 30% Facilitate the daily operations of the front desk within the badging services section of Public Safety.
  • 30% Provide assistance with the electronic security card access system.
  • 15% Conduct research pertaining to electronic security installations.
  • 10% Manage the lost and found program effectively.
  • 10% Aid in badge production and student enrollment processes.
  • 5% Undertake additional duties as assigned.

Physical Demands:

  • Ability to perform job functions while standing, sitting, walking, and working indoors.
  • Good finger dexterity, peripheral vision, and hearing acuity are essential.
  • Capability to lift and carry objects, push/pull, and perform repetitive motions.
