About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Therapist to join our team at the Pace Center for Girls. As a Therapist, you will play a critical role in providing community-based prevention and intervention services to girls aged 12-18.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide weekly therapy services to girls in a variety of settings, including schools, homes, and community centers, using evidence-based and research-informed therapeutic interventions.
  • Develop and implement holistic care plans that address the unique needs and strengths of each girl, incorporating the Transtheoretical Model of Change and Cultural-Relational Theory.
  • Collaborate with caregivers and family members to encourage girl progression in the change process and work with girls' natural support systems.
  • Provide crisis intervention and risk assessments as needed, including family support and advocacy.
  • Conduct psycho-educational and therapy groups that are girl-centered, focusing on social-emotional and life skill development.
  • Provide wrap-around care management services, including transportation services when needed, and collaborate with outside entities and community providers involved in girls' care.
Requirements
  • Master's degree in Social Work, Psychology, Mental Health Counseling, Marriage and Family Therapy, or a related field.
  • Minimum three to five years' experience working with at-risk youth, preferably in a community-based setting.
  • Current driver's license and ability to travel as required.
  • Licensed as a Mental Health Counselor, Marriage and Family Therapist, or Clinical Social Worker, or meet licensing eligibility as a registered intern.
  • Knowledge of case management and community behavioral health practices, as well as youth development principles.
  • Ability to work evenings and weekends as required to fulfill workload requirements.

  • Strong problem-solving and critical thinking skills, with the ability to analyze complex situations and develop effective solutions.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion.
Work Environment

The work environment at the Pace Center for Girls is fast-paced and requires alertness and flexibility. The noise level is usually quiet, but can accelerate to moderate and high levels at times.
