Position Overview

Southern California Veterinary Dental Specialties Inc is in search of a dedicated and experienced Veterinary Practice Administrator to enhance our operational team. In this pivotal role, you will oversee the daily functions of our practice, ensuring we deliver exceptional dental care for pets while maintaining our commitment to outstanding client service.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee all daily operational activities of the veterinary facility.
  • Manage personnel matters including recruitment, onboarding, performance evaluations, and disciplinary actions.
  • Conduct regular team meetings to keep staff updated, provide necessary training, and encourage feedback for ongoing improvement.
  • Foster a supportive and empowering workplace culture for all employees.
  • Ensure the team provides compassionate and high-quality service to both clients and their pets.
  • Oversee payroll processes to ensure timely and accurate compensation for all staff members.
  • Manage financial accounts receivable effectively.
  • Develop and enforce practice policies, ensuring compliance with relevant regulations.
  • Implement local marketing initiatives, including community engagement and educational events.
  • Perform additional duties as required.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 3 years in veterinary management or supervisory roles.
  • Licensure as a Veterinary Technician is preferred.
  • A Bachelor's degree is advantageous.
  • Proven ability to lead, manage, and mentor staff across various levels.
  • Demonstrated expertise in staff management, including hiring and coaching.
  • Ability to empathize with clients and treat animals with dignity and care.
  • Strong interpersonal communication skills.
  • Commitment to delivering exceptional client service.
  • Physical capability to lift objects weighing up to 40 pounds independently and heavier items with assistance.
