Job Summary

Mountain Shadows Support Group is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Nurse Practitioner to join our team. As a key member of our healthcare staff, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality care to our residents with special medical needs and intellectual and physical disabilities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with Physicians: Work closely with our medical team to develop and implement individualized care plans for our residents.
  • Conduct Health Assessments: Perform thorough health assessments to identify and address the unique needs of each resident.
  • Develop Nursing Care Plans: Create and implement comprehensive nursing care plans to ensure the best possible outcomes for our residents.
  • Train and Monitor Caregivers: Provide education and training to our caregivers on resident health needs, including medication administration and treatment protocols.
  • Document and Implement Physician's Orders: Accurately document and implement physician's orders to ensure seamless care delivery.
  • Address Resident Concerns: Respond to and address resident health concerns expressed by parents, family members, social workers, or other involved parties.

Requirements:

  • Current RN License: Possess a current and active RN license in the state of practice.
  • Nurse Practitioner Certification: Hold a valid certification as a Nurse Practitioner.
  • Experience Working with Special Needs: Have experience working with residents with special medical needs and intellectual and physical disabilities.
