Job Title: Direct Support Professional

Redwood Family Care Network is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Direct Support Professional to join our team. As a Direct Support Professional, you will play a vital role in supporting individuals with developmental disabilities to live fulfilling lives.

Job Summary:

The Direct Support Professional will provide personalized support to individuals with developmental disabilities, promoting their health, safety, and well-being. This includes assisting with daily living activities, such as personal care, meal preparation, and household chores. The ideal candidate will be a team player, able to work collaboratively with colleagues and families to ensure the best possible outcomes for our clients.

Responsibilities:
  • Support individuals with developmental disabilities in daily living activities, such as personal care, meal preparation, and household chores.
  • Assist with transportation to appointments, social events, and leisure activities.
  • Develop and implement individualized plans to promote the health, safety, and well-being of clients.
  • Communicate effectively with clients, families, and colleagues to ensure seamless support.
  • Participate in ongoing training and professional development to enhance skills and knowledge.
Requirements:
  • High School Diploma or equivalent required.
  • At least 1 year of experience in caregiving or a related field preferred.
  • Direct Support Professional Certificate and Crisis Prevention Intervention (CPI) training preferred.
  • First Aid/CPR certification preferred.
  • Valid California Driver's License required.
