Position Summary

The Safety and Security Specialist plays a crucial role in ensuring the protection of hotel property, assets, guests, visitors, and staff. This position is vital in maintaining a secure environment within our luxury resort.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct regular patrols of the property to ensure the safety of all individuals and safeguard hotel assets.
  • Respond to inquiries and assist guests and employees regarding safety, security, and hotel operations.
  • Initiate and document investigations related to incidents affecting property and individuals.
  • Provide assistance to sick or injured guests and employees, ensuring proper documentation and follow-up.
  • Maintain accurate records and perform essential office duties, including monitoring security cameras and managing shift logs.
  • Assist in checking alarm systems and safety equipment, ensuring all security measures are in place.
  • Be knowledgeable about fire and life safety procedures, responding effectively in emergencies.
  • Uphold a high standard of personal appearance and hygiene at all times.
  • Perform additional tasks as assigned by hotel management.

Qualifications

The ideal candidate will possess:

  • Relevant experience in security or education in law enforcement.
  • Strong communication skills with proficiency in English; knowledge of additional languages is a plus.
  • Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team while maintaining a focus on guest needs.
  • Attention to detail and a proactive approach to safety and security.
  • Required certifications, including a valid driver's license and any necessary state and federal requirements for safety and security roles.
