Railroad Safety Specialist

At National Railroad Safety Services, Inc. (NRSS), we are seeking a highly skilled Railroad Safety Specialist to join our team. This role is responsible for providing jobsite coordination, clear and concise communication with Dispatchers, Train Crews, and other Railroad Personnel, and enforcing all Railroad, State, and Federal Policies.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide jobsite coordination and ensure a safe working environment.
- Communicate effectively with Dispatchers, Train Crews, and other Railroad Personnel.
- Enforce all Railroad, State, and Federal Policies, and identify rule violations.
- Submit daily field reports detailing Contractor and/or Railroad activities.
Requirements:
- High School Diploma or Equivalent.
- Minimum 2 years of experience with a Class 1 Railroad, Regional Short Line, Transit System, State DOT Rail Division, Railroad Supplier, Railroad Contractor, and/or Railroad Consultant.
- Strong technical knowledge in Railroad Engineering, Railroad Design, Railroad Construction, and Safety.
- Ability to travel for extended periods of time and successfully complete Federal, Client, and/or Company Specific Training.
