Job Title: Security Supervisor

At ASM Global, we are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Security Supervisor to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for the overall management of security services, with a focus on providing exceptional service to events, employees, and general security issues within our managed facilities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supervise and assign security shift staff to ensure seamless operations.
  • Conduct shift briefings to provide necessary information and ensure staff are equipped to handle various situations.
  • Review department checklists and account for all equipment to maintain high standards of security.
  • Notify supervisors of necessary employee counseling to promote a positive work environment.
  • Secure property and facilities to prevent unauthorized access.
  • Lock and unlock facility doors as needed.
  • Conduct routine property walks to identify potential security risks.
  • Respond to emergency situations promptly and effectively.
  • Interact with the public, management, and fellow employees to provide excellent customer service.
  • Ensure the safety of all individuals on the premises.
  • Deal with unruly individuals in a professional and courteous manner.
  • Collaborate with Event Management staff, local Fire and Police Departments to secure off-duty details.
  • Work independently to assess situations and respond accordingly.
  • Ensure security camera systems are functioning properly, recording and storing data as required.

Requirements:

  • A high school diploma or G.E.D. is required, with some college preferred.
  • A minimum of 5 years of security guard experience, preferably in a similar environment.
  • A minimum of 2 years of supervisory experience, preferably in the security field.
  • A valid driver's license is required.

Skills and Abilities:

  • Ability to work with minimal supervision.
  • Excellent organizational skills.
  • Ability to effectively supervise staff.
  • Strong customer service skills.
  • Good written, verbal, and interpersonal skills required.
  • Ability to work irregular hours, including night shifts, weekends, and holidays.
  • Professional presentation, appearance, and work ethic.
  • Basic computer knowledge.
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Knowledge of security camera systems and data storage.

Physical Demands:

  • The physical demands of this position include walking, climbing, stooping, and possibly heavy lifting.
  • The position requires work in both indoor and outdoor settings.
  • The position may be subjected to adverse conditions, including physical contact from hostile individuals.
