Educator Position for K-5 After School Program

Salary and Benefits
The estimated annual salary for this part-time educator position ranges between $43,000 to $50,000, depending on education and experience. Competitive wages are offered, along with partial benefits.
Job Description
We seek a motivated and creative educator to lead groups of students in grades K-5. The ideal candidate will have previous experience working with groups of children aged 5–11 in a school or camp setting. The responsibilities include collaboratively leading groups of students, supporting social/emotional development, creating curriculum in areas of the arts, STEAM, and recreation, and supervising and participating in "Freeplay". The schedule involves a maximum of 23 hours/week, with weekly staff meetings, following the Newton Public School Calendar Year.
Required Skills and Qualifications
Candidates should be mature, dependable, and possess strong interpersonal skills. A high school diploma is required, while a Bachelor's degree is preferred. Previous experience working with groups of children and creativity in lesson planning are highly valued.
