Job Title: Proposal Manager

Capio Group is seeking a highly skilled Proposal Manager to lead our proposal development team. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for managing the proposal lifecycle, from planning to submission.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage the proposal team and collaborate with Account Managers to drive proposal development and submission.
  • Translate technical information into compelling content for proposals, capability statements, and marketing materials.
  • Develop and implement proposal planning, content design, and development strategies.
  • Review and analyze solicitations to draft compliant proposal outlines and responses.
  • Lead proposal management activities, including work plans, proposal schedules, and action items.
  • Prepare supporting documentation, including go/no-go meeting notes and proposal development schedules.
Requirements:
  1. At least 1 year of experience as a Proposal Manager or similar role.
  2. 3+ years of experience leading/managing proposal lifecycle.
  3. 2+ years of experience writing persuasive content for proposals.
  4. At least 1 year of experience managing/building a proposal team.
  5. At least 1 year of government proposal development experience (California gov't preferred).
  6. Ability to translate technical information into easily understood content.
  7. Strong verbal and written communication skills, including grammar, spelling, and editing skills.
  8. Advanced knowledge of Adobe PDF, Google Suite, and Microsoft Office.
  9. Ability to prioritize and manage multiple proposals/projects simultaneously.
  10. Bachelor's degree in Business, Communications, English, or a related field.
Desirable Experience:
  1. Located in the Greater Sacramento area in California.
  2. A proven track record of establishing technical writing processes and procedures.
  3. Experience writing technical documentation for the information technology industry.
