Graham Packaging is seeking a highly skilled Sourcing Manager to join our team for a contract position. As a key member of our capital procurement team, you will be responsible for sourcing and purchasing of capital equipment and services for various plants within Graham Packaging.
Key Responsibilities- Execute the category strategy, including buying activities and day-to-day interaction with internal stakeholders and suppliers.
- Support the category director in developing the overall procurement strategy and translating it into concrete action plans.
- Follow robust negotiation processes for procurement of capital goods, working with stakeholders to create Statements of Work and develop and execute RFXs.
- Perform should-cost analysis and create clean sheets to arrive at fair pricing of products and services procured.
- Ensure all statutory, regulatory, and internal controls requirements are met.
- Ensure all procurement activities are conducted ethically and with integrity.
- Oversee and support contract implementations, working closely with buyers, plants, and functions to ensure all aspects of the life cycle and service levels are considered.
- Bachelor's or advanced degree in Engineering.
- 5+ years of engineering or operations experience in a manufacturing company with a mature procurement function.
- Skilled in project management, reporting, and presenting information, and statistical analysis.
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, standards, and specifications.
- Knowledge of industrial and quality principles, including process layout, standard operating procedures, SPC, PFMEA, Lean Six Sigma, APQP, 5S, ISO TS16949, and ISO 14000.
- Excellent negotiation skills, problem-solving ability, and strategic thinking ability.
- Advanced Microsoft Office skills, including super user in Microsoft Excel.
Graham Packaging offers a competitive salary range of $93,200 - $134,600, based on final candidate qualifications, experience, skillset, and other relevant factors. We also offer benefits, including medical, dental, vision, and basic life insurance, as well as the opportunity to enroll in our 401K Employee Saving Plan and participate in our Employee Wellness Program.
