Job Summary

Lighthouse Youth & Family Services is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Customer Safety Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our front-line staff, you will be responsible for ensuring the safety and well-being of our youth and visitors.

Key Responsibilities
  • Greeting and Directing Visitors: Greet and direct visitors and clients, providing temporary visitor badges and maintaining a visitor's log.
  • Phone and Data Management: Answer, screen, and transfer inbound phone calls, and process requests for information, data, and/or documents, some of which may be highly confidential and/or sensitive in nature.
  • Problem Resolution: Resolve problems and inquiries in a timely manner, understanding when to escalate the issue.
  • Youth Support: Be aware of youth activities and whereabouts while maintaining a safe and productive environment at all times, and facilitate problem-solving with the youth as it relates to front-door/screening operations.
  • Screening Procedures: Follow proper screening procedures for youth and visitors entering the building, and maintain inventory of keys/badges, radios, and ensures functionality, notifying appropriate parties of discrepancies or breaches.
  • Fill-in Support: Fill in as a Youth Worker as needed, and respond to security breaches, preparing and filing reports describing incidents, accidents, or intruders.
Qualifications
  • Education: High School diploma/GED, required.
  • Experience: At least 1 year of experience working with youth.
  • Background: A background or college courses in education, social work, or psychology.
