Job Summary

The Advanced Practice Provider is a key member of our multidisciplinary health team, responsible for delivering high-quality, patient-centered care in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prescribe and manage medications in accordance with written collaborative agreements.
  • Apply advanced knowledge of physical assessment, differential diagnosis, pathophysiology, and pharmacology to provide comprehensive care to patients.
  • Demonstrate expertise in clinical and theoretical staff competence for the designated area.
  • Ensure adherence to infection prevention, reduction, and control principles.
  • Collaborate with other medical professionals to achieve desired outcomes.
  • Conduct comprehensive health assessments of patients and families, incorporating psychosocial, cognitive, and personal factors.
  • Establish medical diagnoses, order and evaluate diagnostic studies, and perform therapeutic procedures.
  • Develop and implement follow-up plans, modifying management strategies as needed.
  • Act as a resource to healthcare staff, providing educational programs to enhance patient care.
  • Contribute to the research process by sharing knowledge and applying new findings to practice.
Education and Experience Requirements
  • Nurse Practitioner:
    • Master's Degree from an Advanced Practice Nursing Program
    • RN licensure for the State of Indiana
    • Certification as a Nurse Practitioner
    • Five years of clinical nursing experience, with a preference for one year of experience as a Nurse Practitioner
  • Physician Assistant:
    • Graduate of an accredited school of Physician Assisting
    • Experience in a hospital or physician practice setting, with a preference for one year of experience as a Physician Assistant
License and Certification Requirements
  • Nurse Practitioner:
    • Registered Nurse licensure for the State of Indiana
    • Advanced Practice Nurse and Controlled Substance Registration licenses in the state of Indiana
    • Drug Enforcement Agency (DEA) Registration
    • Basic Life Safety (American Heart Association) certification
    • Credentials with the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC) or other nationally recognized credentialing center
  • Physician Assistant:
    • Physician Assistant licensure in the state of Indiana
    • Controlled Substance Registration license in the state of Indiana
    • Drug Enforcement Agency (DEA) Registration
    • Basic Life Safety (American Heart Association) certification
