In collaboration with the Practical Nursing Program Chair and fellow nursing faculty, you will be responsible for delivering didactic, laboratory, and clinical instruction.
This is a 9-month position with the possibility of summer teaching assignments, which will be compensated in addition to the base salary.PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
Your primary responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
- Overseeing curriculum development
- Delivering instruction (didactic, simulation, laboratory, and clinical)
- Mentoring and remediating students
- Maintaining accurate records in compliance with State Board of Nursing and ACEN standards
- Participating in faculty meetings and committees that align with the nursing program's mission
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Any equivalent combination of education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities.
Education:
A Master's degree in Nursing from an accredited institution.
Candidates holding a Bachelor's degree in nursing who are currently pursuing their Master's degree will also be considered.
Experience:
A minimum of three (3) years of clinical nursing experience.
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, capable of engaging effectively with a diverse range of individuals.
- Ability to collect data, compile information, and prepare reports.
- Effective oral and written communication abilities.
- Capacity to work collaboratively as part of a team.
- Ability to deliver engaging curriculum in a dynamic environment.
- Organizational skills to supervise students in laboratory and clinical settings, providing constructive feedback.
- Technological proficiency to develop and integrate current educational methodologies.
- Demonstrated ability to teach and manage a diverse student population.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Experience:
- Specialized training in Mental Health, Geriatrics, and/or Community Health is preferred.
- One (1) year of teaching experience at the PN level or higher.
- Familiarity with State Board of Nursing regulations.
- Experience with nursing program accreditation processes.
Licensure/Certification:
Current Colorado RN license.
