- UT Health Pittsburg features 25 private patient rooms, a 24-hour Level IV trauma center, a Level III stroke center, surgical facilities, advanced diagnostic tools, a sleep laboratory, swing bed care, and a fitness center.

- Act as a qualified professional responsible for the accuracy and accountability of clinical laboratory testing related to patient care and diagnosis.
- Conduct routine and specialized laboratory tests, maintain quality control, perform preventative maintenance, manage minor equipment repairs, oversee inventory, and compile statistical data.
- Engage in quality assurance initiatives, performance improvement projects, training for new staff, and proficiency assessments as assigned.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Medical Technology, Clinical Laboratory Science, or an Associate’s degree in Medical Laboratory Technician Studies or a related field in chemical, physical, or biological sciences.
- Up-to-date knowledge of clinical laboratory methodologies and principles.
Preferred Qualifications:
- ASCP certification or equivalent credentials.
- Certification in a specific area, such as M(ASCP), H(ASCP), or C(ASCP).
- Comprehensive understanding of clinical laboratory techniques and principles.
- Prior experience in a clinical laboratory setting as a Medical Laboratory Technician, Medical Technologist, Clinical Laboratory Scientist, or Medical Laboratory Scientist.
