Job Summary:

This position is part of the Clinical team at Kansas Employer. The Diagnostic Imaging Specialist will arrange patients for radiological and mammography examinations, produce radiographs and mammograms to aid in diagnosis, and prevent unnecessary radiation exposure. The role also involves training other staff in equipment use and image taking techniques.

Key Responsibilities:

Communicate with patients, including verification and explaining the diagnostic process.
Use radiology/mammography equipment to produce images for diagnostic purposes, as directed by physicians.
Review and evaluate images to determine their suitability for diagnosis.
Train staff in equipment use and image taking techniques.
Order, track, and manage supplies.
Ensure required documentation is part of patient medical records and for billing purposes.
Contribute to a safe and secure environment by following established standards and procedures.
