Job Title: Environmental Scientist - Due Diligence

We are seeking an Environmental Scientist to join our team in Houston, TX. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for conducting Phase I Environmental Site Assessments, collecting field data, and providing billable administrative support to Project Managers.

Responsibilities:
  • Conduct Phase I Environmental Site Assessments, including field assessments, historical research, and report writing.
  • Collect field data, including air, soil, and groundwater sample collection, logging of soil borings and monitoring wells, and site inspections.
  • Provide billable administrative support to Project Managers as requested.
  • Become thoroughly familiar with Atlas policies and procedures.
Requirements:
  • Degree in Geology, Engineering, or Environmental Sciences.
  • 3-5+ years' experience with Phase I ESAs, site investigations, including site visits and report writing.
  • Valid US Driver's license.
  • Perform field work under limited supervision and in accordance with Atlas and Client safety protocol.
  • Able to effectively manage time and prioritize projects with minimal supervision to meet established criteria.
  • 40 hr. OSHA HAZWOPER certification, current HAZWOPER refresher.
  • Working knowledge of TCEQ regulations.
Technical Requirements:
  • Proficient in Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and other widely used computer programs.
  • Experience with EDR's Parcel and Quire Platforms is a plus.
  • Excellent skills in technical writing and verbal communications.
Other Miscellaneous Qualities:
  • Ability to travel up to 30%, mostly within Texas and Oklahoma.
  • Desire to obtain relevant professional registration or certification, if not already obtained.
