Nurse Leader

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Registered Nurse to join our team at MedStar Health. As a Registered Nurse, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality patient care and collaborating with our multidisciplinary team to achieve exceptional patient outcomes.
Key Responsibilities- Provide Patient Care: Deliver proficient nursing care to patients with complex needs, ensuring their safety and well-being.
- Collaborate with the Team: Work closely with nurse leaders, colleagues, and other healthcare professionals to develop and implement patient care plans.
- Document Patient Information: Accurately document patient information, reflecting the integration of nursing assessment data, pathophysiology, and therapeutic regimens.
- Participate in Quality Improvement: Contribute to quality improvement initiatives, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and national patient safety goals.
- Provide Education and Training: Participate in the orientation program for new staff, conduct individual orientations, and deliver formal unit-based in-service education programs.
- Assume Leadership Roles: Assume formally designated resource roles for colleagues, act as a consultant for nursing staff, and participate in the formulation and implementation of departmental goals and objectives.
- Education: Associate's degree in Nursing required; Bachelor's degree in Nursing preferred.
- Experience: Prior clinical nursing experience preferred.
- Licenses and Certifications: RN-Registered Nurse-State Licensure and/or Compact State Licensure in the District of Columbia required; CPR-Cardiac Pulmonary Resuscitation (includes BLS and NRP) for healthcare providers from either the American Heart Association (AHA) or American Red Cross within 90 Days required.
