Responsibilities:

  • Maintain and repair heavy duty equipment, including construction, road maintenance, marine, and firefighting equipment.
  • Perform routine maintenance tasks, such as oil changes, tire rotations, and brake pad replacements.
  • Diagnose and repair complex mechanical issues with heavy duty equipment.
  • Work with a team to complete projects and meet deadlines.
  • Ensure all work is done in a safe and efficient manner.

Requirements:

  • Completion of a recognized apprenticeship as a heavy duty equipment mechanic or two years of full-time paid experience as a journey-level equipment mechanic.
  • Ability to work with a variety of heavy duty equipment, including construction, road maintenance, marine, and firefighting equipment.
  • Strong mechanical skills and ability to diagnose and repair complex issues.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines.
