Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct routine and preventative maintenance on all company fleet vehicles.
  • Maintain accurate records for vehicle licenses, inspections, and insurance documentation.
  • Document all service and repair activities performed on fleet vehicles.
  • Manage a small inventory of essential parts and supplies for maintenance tasks.
  • Source and procure necessary items from approved vendors, ensuring cost-effectiveness and quality.
  • Diagnose mechanical issues using visual inspections and computer diagnostic tools.
  • Complete work orders with detailed information for accurate billing and inventory management.
  • Establish timelines for completing repairs and maintenance tasks efficiently.
  • Perform minor repairs on shop equipment as needed.
  • Safely operate company vehicles when required.

Qualifications:

  • Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities.
  • Excellent mechanical aptitude.
  • Effective communication skills for coordinating with team members.
  • Ability to interpret service and repair manuals.
  • Proficiency in using diagnostic equipment and software.
  • Commitment to maintaining a clean and safe work environment.
  • Willingness to follow directions from supervisors and management.
  • Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
  • High school diploma or GED; vocational training is a plus.
  • A minimum of 5 years of relevant experience or equivalent training.
  • Possession of a valid inspection and emissions license.
  • Understanding of company policies and applicable laws.
  • Proficient in standard business software applications.
