Key Responsibilities- Maintain all company fleet vehicles for routine and preventative maintenance and repairs.
- Maintain records for all company fleet vehicles, including licenses, inspections, and insurance cards.
- Maintain records of all service and repairs to all company fleet vehicles.
- Manage a small inventory of essential parts and supplies for performing routine service and repairs.
- Source and procure all needed items from established vendors seeking the best price and quality.
- Identify mechanical problems using visual inspections and computer diagnostic equipment.
- Fill out shop work orders for all vehicles worked on every day, ensuring accurate billing and inventory movement.
- Plan and establish timetables to complete repairs and maintenance, closing work orders promptly.
- Perform minor repairs on motorized shop equipment as requested.
- Drive a company vehicle safely when required.
- Ability to problem solve and troubleshoot.
- Good mechanical skills.
- Effective communication skills and the ability to schedule appointments with coworkers.
- Ability to read service and repair manuals.
- Proficiency with computer diagnostic equipment and software.
- Maintain and clean garage equipment and tools to ensure they are always kept in a safe and usable condition.
- Ability to take direction from supervisors and management.
- Safe driving record.
- High school diploma or GED, coursework at an accredited vocational, technical, or trade school.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience or an equivalent combination of experience and trade school training.
- A valid Pennsylvania inspection and emissions license.
- Ability to understand and follow all company policies and procedures and all applicable state and federal laws.
- Ability to use typical business tools, including email, Word, Excel, etc.
