As an Automation Technician, you will be integral in the installation, upkeep, and repair of automated machinery and computer-controlled systems that propel our operations.
Shift Schedule:
6:00 am - 3:00 pm
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in automation initiatives: Install, maintain, repair, test, and troubleshoot sophisticated automated equipment.
- Lead process enhancement projects and collaborate with cross-functional teams.
- Diagnose and resolve intricate mechanical, pneumatic, electrical, and control issues, including non-standard problems.
- Utilize Programmable Logic Controllers (PLC) for basic and ladder logic, and interpret wiring diagrams, schematics, and blueprints for troubleshooting.
- Analyze testing data, compile documentation, and perform calculations to identify root causes and corrective measures.
- Read, interpret, create, and update mechanical, pneumatic, and electrical schematics and drawings.
Qualifications:
Associate's degree in automation or a related discipline with three years of experience in automated manufacturing equipment installation and maintenance, or a high school diploma with five years of relevant experience in equipment installation and maintenance, preferably in automated manufacturing.
Proficient in reading, writing, interpreting, and creating mechanical and electrical diagrams, schematics, and blueprints.
Comprehensive understanding of NFPA 70 Electrical Code.
Advanced knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and pneumatic systems, as well as industrial controls and instrumentation.
Exceptional troubleshooting skills with Programmable Logic Controllers (PLC), including the ability to modify ladder logic and proficiency in reading and writing wiring diagrams and schematics.
Familiarity with, or the ability to learn various statistical and quality methodologies, including but not limited to Statistical Process Control (SPC), Statistical Quality Control (SQC), 5S, 8D, Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (FMEA), Root Cause Analysis, Gage Repeatability and Reproducibility (R&R), and Design of Experiments (DOE).
