Job Summary

Vanderbilt Health is seeking a highly skilled Pathologists' Assistant to join our team in the Diagnostic Anatomic Gross Room Pathology lab. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for providing patient-focused care through the examination of surgical specimens and timely completion of surgical case reports.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform examination, gross dissection, and documentation of surgical specimens under the supervision of a pathologist.
  • Actively participate in compliance and quality management activities on a daily basis and special projects as indicated.
  • Assist with special tissue processing, including tissue in special fixatives, tissue culture media, and selection for culture.
Desired Qualifications
  • ASCP Pathologists' Assistant Certification
  • More than 1 year of diagnostic gross room experience as a Pathologists' Assistant
