Fowler Placement Services is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Executive Director of Operations to lead the growth and development of our vacuum pump business. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for driving business strategy, managing operations, and ensuring the success of our industrial rotating equipment division.
**Key Responsibilities**
• Develop and implement a comprehensive business strategy to drive growth and profitability in the vacuum pump market
• Manage and oversee all aspects of operations, including safety, quality, cost control, production control, inventory management, and cash flow
• Define and implement a pricing strategy for the region, taking into account market trends and customer needs
• Develop and maintain a proactive sales and marketing strategy, including pricing, engineering solutions, and customer contact
• Achieve net profit margin targets through efficient cost control, budgeting, and effective pricing strategies
• Recruit, lead, mentor, develop, and retain a high-performing team, including regular performance measurement, appraisals, and coaching for professional development
• Increase customer satisfaction and loyalty, as well as brand awareness, through effective customer engagement and relationship-building
• Supervise and lead product regionalization and performance enhancement efforts, setting priorities and targets according to market requirements
**Requirements**
• Bachelor's degree required; MBA highly preferred
• Minimum 5 years of experience in manufacturing and/or distribution of industrial rotating equipment
• Minimum 2 years of experience directly related to vacuum pumps and systems
• Working knowledge of the paper industry is preferred
• Proven track record of developing, implementing, and successfully leading company growth initiatives
• Basic ability to create, use, and retrieve project-related information from ERP systems, scheduling software, CRM solutions, etc.
