Job Summary

The Pastry Chef is a key member of our culinary team, responsible for creating and executing a wide range of pastry and dessert offerings that exceed our guests' expectations. This role requires a high level of creativity, attention to detail, and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Pastry Development: Create new and innovative pastry and dessert offerings that meet the high standards of A. Marshall Hospitality.
  • Menu Planning: Collaborate with the culinary team to develop and implement menu offerings that meet the needs of our guests.
  • Inventory Management: Manage inventory levels of baking supplies and ingredients to ensure that we have the necessary materials to meet demand.
  • Team Leadership: Supervise and train pastry assistants and bakers to ensure that they have the skills and knowledge necessary to perform their jobs effectively.
  • Quality Control: Ensure that all pastry and dessert offerings meet the high standards of A. Marshall Hospitality, including taste, presentation, and quality.
Requirements
  • Education: Certificate in culinary arts, pastry-making, baking, or relevant field.
  • Experience: Proven experience as a Pastry Chef, baker, or relevant role.
  • Skills: Excellent communication and leadership skills, ability to work in a fast-paced environment, and attention to detail.
  • Physical Demands: Ability to stand for long periods of time, lift up to 50 pounds, and reach, bend, and stoop as needed.
