About the Role:

We are seeking a skilled Nursing Assistant to join our team at Essentia Health. As a Nursing Assistant, you will play a vital role in providing direct care to patients and contributing to their safety and comfort.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide personal hygiene care and assist with nutritional needs
  • Offer comfort care and other assistance to patients
  • Transfer patients safely and appropriately
  • Take vital signs and maintain accurate recordkeeping
  • Recognize and report changes in patient condition to the RN
  • Maintain a safe and clean environment for patients

Requirements:

  • BLS certification or ability to become certified within 1 month from hire date
  • Meet one of the following requirements:
    • 6 months of nursing assistant experience
    • Completion of one semester of clinical rotations within an accredited nursing program
    • Successful completion of an EH provided Nursing Assistant training within one month of hire
    • Verifiable completion of a recognized nurse aide training program
    • Current registration on applicable state nursing assistant registry

Work Environment:

This role is part of our Night Rotation team, working from 11:00 PM to 7:30 AM, every other weekend, and observing holidays. You will be part of the St Josephs SEIU Local 113 (STJSEIU) union.
