Your Role
As a Senior Mechanical Engineer specializing in engineered injection molded plastics, you will play a pivotal role in our expanding team. Your expertise will guide various projects from initial design phases through to validation, fostering a collaborative environment that enhances team performance.

Key Responsibilities
- Design and optimize next-generation products through concept generation, analysis, CAD modeling, prototyping, and user studies.
- Serve as the engineering team's expert for tooled components and assemblies throughout all stages of product development.
- Own the design process for new tooled components as part of next-generation product development.
- Maintain thorough documentation practices, including design journals and test reports, to ensure knowledge preservation and standardization.
- Lead the development of early concepts, gather stakeholder feedback, and engage with customers to define product requirements for optimal design outcomes.
- Create comprehensive test plans and testing procedures to enhance accuracy and reliability in product performance.
- Collaborate with the Operations team to address quality and manufacturability challenges, focusing on plastic components.

Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
- A minimum of 8 years of experience, with at least 5 years in designing, tooling, and supporting complex mass-produced injection molded components.

Essential Skills
- Proficient in utilizing engineering plastics to meet stringent technical specifications.
- Expertise in qualifying tools for precision parts with critical tolerances.
- Skilled in CAD design and detailing of complex molded parts (SolidWorks preferred).
- Experience in collaborating with suppliers to establish optimal datum and tolerance strategies.

Preferred Skills
- Familiarity with test fixture design and reliability science concepts.
- Knowledge of accelerated test methods and data science principles.

Compensation
The pay range for this position is between $130,000 and $170,000, based on experience and qualifications. Additional compensation may include equity, bonuses, and comprehensive benefits.
