Position Overview:

We are seeking a dedicated Speech Language Pathologist Assistant to provide support to our young patients. You will implement the treatment strategies established by a licensed Speech-Language Pathologist. Your role will involve addressing challenges related to speech and language, offering therapeutic services to individuals experiencing communication disorders, swallowing difficulties, or similar issues.

  • Employment Type: Full-Time/PRN: $29-40 per visit

Key Responsibilities:

  • Execute the treatment protocols established by a licensed Speech-Language Pathologist, focusing on speech and language challenges.
  • Operate under the guidance of a certified speech-language pathologist.
  • Deliver care that adheres to the prescribed plan for speech and language services, ensuring safety and compliance.
  • Monitor and document the patient's condition, reporting any significant changes to the supervising speech-language pathologist.
  • Engage in discussions with the supervising speech-language pathologist regarding any necessary adjustments to the treatment plan.
  • Implement modifications to the care plan as directed by the supervising speech-language pathologist and authorized by the physician.
  • Provide updates on the patient’s progress and responses to therapy to the supervising speech-language pathologist.

Qualifications:

  • Completion of an accredited speech and audiology program, demonstrating comprehensive knowledge in the field.
  • Possession of a current license as a speech-language assistant, including up-to-date observation and supervision records.
  • Proficiency in speaking, reading, and writing in English.
  • Valid driver's license and proof of liability insurance are required.
  • Annual TB screening is mandatory.
  • Current certification in basic life support (CPR) is essential.
  • Proficient in computer software for creating accurate documentation; familiarity with MS Office is preferred.
  • Ability to lift and move objects, with physical demands including up to 100 pounds occasionally and up to 50 pounds frequently.
