Surgical Technologist

SSM Health is seeking a skilled Surgical Technologist to join our surgical team at our Outpatient Center in Madison. As a Surgical Technologist, you will be responsible for providing patient care activities and related non-professional services necessary for the care of patients and the maintenance of the Operating Room under the direction of a Registered Nurse.
Key Responsibilities- Prepare equipment, supply and resource needs based on an individualized plan of care.
- Communicate accurate and timely information to the Registered Nurse regarding patients in their care.
- Demonstrate knowledge and skills necessary to perform all aspects of a variety of surgical procedures.
- Follow laboratory policy and procedure to correctly handle and label all laboratory specimens.
- Graduate of a technical program for operating room technicians.
- Basic Life Support HealthCare Provider (BLS HCP) - American Heart Association (AHA) certification.
- Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) - National Board of Surgical Technology and Surgical Assisting (NBSTSA) certification.
Work Schedule: Full-Time, 34 hours/week, Monday - Friday, 10 hour shifts, 7a-530p, Set schedule with rotating days off.
