About the Role

STAR Autism Support is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Account Specialist to join our Sales team. As an Account Specialist, you will play a critical role in developing and maintaining long-term partnerships with our current clients, as well as growing the scope of our impact with new clients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Client Acquisition and Retention: Proactively communicate with district special education leaders to introduce them to STAR products that meet the instructional needs of students with autism and other intellectual and developmental disabilities.
  • Sales Cycle Management: Drive the sales cycle by working with current and new customer accounts to conduct needs analyses, provide overviews and demos of STAR products and services, and create pricing plans that align with their unique needs and goals.
  • Relationship Building: Own and foster the business relationship with the buyer/decision maker for each customer account through regular virtual communication and touch points.
  • Collaboration and Teamwork: Collaborate with the Customer Success team to ensure that customer expectations are met throughout the implementation period and customer lifecycle to drive renewal and expansion of accounts year over year.
  • Industry Knowledge and Trends: Remain current on industry, customer, and competitive trends to stay ahead of the market and identify new opportunities for growth.
Requirements
  • Education and Experience: Bachelor's Degree or equivalent years of experience in a related field, such as customer service, sales, account management, or a related field.
  • Skills and Qualifications: 1-3 years' experience in a related field, experience in building and maintaining customer relationships, experience working with a diverse set of customers with varying needs and communication styles, and strong organizational skills.
  • Soft Skills: Emotional intelligence, influence, and negotiation skills, a growth mindset, and strong collaboration skills with the ability to work with multiple stakeholders across the organization.

We provide curriculum materials, workshops, and training to school and agency staff who work with students with autism and other developmental disabilities.
