Role Description:

We are excited to present a remarkable opportunity for a dedicated Mechanical Assembler II to become a vital part of the dynamic team at Gem Team Inc. The ideal candidate will exhibit a robust work ethic, a commitment to quality, and a willingness to develop professionally. Reporting to the Production Supervisor and working closely with Assembly Leads, you will be instrumental in the assembly of top-tier machinery, leveraging your hands-on mechanical expertise and meticulous attention to detail.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Accurately assemble machine components using a variety of hand and power tools.
  • Interpret mechanical schematics and execute assembly tasks according to exact specifications.
  • Provide timely updates to the Assembly Lead or Supervisor regarding any challenges faced.
  • Complete assembly tasks with minimal supervision, ensuring adherence to high-quality standards.
  • Utilize the Made2Manage (M2M) and traveler systems for effective job tracking.
  • Follow strict safety protocols to maintain a secure working environment.
  • Identify and distinguish various parts and their specifications to guarantee flawless assembly.
  • Consistently meet project deadlines while demonstrating exceptional organizational skills.

Additional Responsibilities:

  • Transport parts and components to various departments as necessary.
  • Participate in welding tasks when assigned and possess knowledge of welding techniques (TIG and MIG is advantageous).
  • Take on additional responsibilities and assist with related duties as required.

Qualifications:

  • A high school diploma or equivalent is highly preferred.
  • A minimum of three years' experience in a similar role (Assembler I) within a manufacturing environment.
  • Demonstrated mechanical aptitude and familiarity with various tools.
  • Welding skills and experience are beneficial, but not mandatory.
  • Ability to assemble machines with minimal guidance.
  • Thorough understanding of established safety procedures is essential.
  • Outstanding organizational and time management skills, with a keen eye for detail and the ability to prioritize effectively across multiple projects.

Physical Demands and Work Environment:

This role encompasses a variety of tasks that require strong physical health and stamina. Candidates must be capable of engaging in physical activities such as pushing, pulling, stooping, squatting, and lifting as necessary.   • The job involves frequent fine motor handling (50%), standing (80%), and near visual acuity (85%).
  • Physical demands also include pushing and pulling up to 50 pounds with wheels, and 40 pounds without wheels.
