As the first point of contact for many members, you will guide them by providing advice, suggesting products, and setting up new accounts. The Financial Center Consultant II will engage in consultative selling, conducting financial assessments to identify opportunities for expanding member relationships. You will utilize cross-selling reports and internal opportunity insights provided by management. The majority of your time will be dedicated to performing platform functions, opening new accounts, and facilitating loan production. We are looking for an individual who takes pride in representing EECU and finds fulfillment in building lasting relationships with our members.

Essential Qualifications for the Financial Center Consultant II:

  • Demonstrated success in achieving loan production goals.
  • Strong cross-selling and referral capabilities are highly desirable.
  • Ability to deliver exceptional member experiences in a dynamic environment, thriving on personal interactions whether at the teller line or in a personal banking capacity.
  • Deliver a comprehensive service and sales experience that consistently exceeds monthly sales targets.
  • Perform a wide range of member service tasks, including opening business and consumer loans/accounts, while effectively resolving operational issues and providing teller services.
  • Proactively support marketing initiatives within the branch.
  • Build and maintain excellent rapport with members by providing outstanding service.
  • Manage lobby coverage responsibilities, including greeting members, answering calls, and directing them to the appropriate staff.
  • EECU will evaluate an applicant's credit history in compliance with applicable laws. Only candidates with a positive credit history will be considered for available positions. Successful candidates will need to pass a background check, including employment verification, criminal history, and drug screening.

Candidates for EECU should possess the following knowledge and experience:

  • A minimum of one year of experience in a retail or financial setting that emphasizes exceptional service and rapport-building with members/customers.
  • Knowledge of retail operations, including platform and teller functions, is preferred.
  • Strong communication skills that facilitate comfortable and effective interactions with members.
  • Exhibit enthusiasm and professionalism at EECU, demonstrating a high level of ownership and accountability.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment while managing multiple tasks effectively.
  • Be an attentive listener who is approachable, capable of problem-solving, and empathetic.
  • Relevant computer proficiency, along with solid mathematical and written communication skills.
  • A college degree is preferred.
  • Bilingual candidates, particularly those who can speak, read, and write in Spanish, are preferred.
  • Availability during the hours of 8:15 AM - 6:15 PM, Monday - Friday, and 8:45 AM - 1:30 PM on Saturdays is required.
  • Starting pay is $17 per hour based on experience, with the potential for monthly incentives.
