Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Registered Nurse to join our team in the Emergency Department at Providence Kodiak Island Medical Center. As a Registered Nurse, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care, working collaboratively with our interdisciplinary team to ensure the best possible outcomes for our patients.

Responsibilities
  • Provide direct patient care, including assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of patient care.
  • Develop and implement individualized patient care plans, taking into account the patient's medical history, physical condition, and personal preferences.
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless care transitions and optimal patient outcomes.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient care and safety.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest medical research, technologies, and best practices in emergency nursing.
Requirements
  • Graduation from an accredited nursing program.
  • Current Alaska Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) license.
  • Current National Provider Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
  • Current National Provider Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification.
  • Current National Provider Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification within 90 days of hire.
  • At least one year of nursing experience.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Current National Certification in area of specialty.
