About the Role

We are seeking dedicated professionals to foster long-term relationships with our students, providing high-quality education and mentorship. This role primarily involves sharing expertise with undergraduate nursing students in the field of microbiology.

Course Focus: Fundamentals of Microbiology with Lab (BIOS-242)

This course introduces essential microbiological concepts, emphasizing significant microorganisms and infectious diseases. Key topics include microscopy, microbial growth, genetics, antimicrobial agents, epidemiology, and immune responses. Laboratory sessions will cover aseptic techniques, microorganism culture, microscopy, and staining methods.

Course Structure

Classes are conducted on campus twice a week for eight-week sessions, integrating technology to enhance the learning experience through online discussions and assignments. Commitment is on a course-by-course basis.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and deliver a comprehensive syllabus aligned with Adtalem Global Education standards.
  • Organize and regularly update course materials to ensure relevance and accuracy.
  • Utilize appropriate technologies for course delivery and student engagement.
  • Communicate effectively to enhance student understanding and participation.
  • Establish clear expectations for assessments and course objectives.
  • Ensure alignment of exam content with course objectives.
  • Provide fair and timely feedback on student performance.
  • Fulfill additional duties as assigned in accordance with institutional policies.

Qualifications:

  • A master's or doctorate degree in Microbiology, Biology, or a closely related field, with at least 18 graduate credit hours in microbiology.
  • Demonstrated teaching ability and a passion for education.
  • Strong commitment to nursing, education, and lifelong learning.
  • Exceptional subject matter expertise and communication skills.

Compensation Information:
The expected compensation for this position ranges from $1,120 to $7,245 per assignment, depending on the candidate's qualifications and experience.
