About the Role

We are seeking a highly qualified and experienced Microbiology Faculty Member to join our team at Adtalem Global Education. As a Microbiology Faculty Member, you will be responsible for teaching undergraduate BSN nursing students on-site in Addison IL.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and deliver high-quality course materials, including syllabi, lesson plans, and assessments.
  • Teach Fundamentals of Microbiology with Lab (BIOS-242) courses, covering basic concepts of microbiology, medically important microorganisms, and infectious diseases.
  • Use technology to enhance the learning environment, including online discussions and assignments.
  • Model effective oral and written communication skills, engaging students and providing clarity.
  • Set clear expectations for the course, including terminal objectives, assignment/examination dates, and evaluation categories.
  • Ensure consistency and fairness in exam preparation and grading, providing timely feedback to students.

Qualifications

  • Earned a master's or doctorate degree in Microbiology, Biology, or a closely related field with a minimum of 18 graduate credit hours in microbiology.
  • Proven teaching experience or a natural ability to teach and help others learn.
  • Passion for nursing, education, and lifelong learning.
  • Exceptional subject matter expertise and excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Eagerness to serve students and colleagues with passion, respect, and care.

We offer a competitive compensation package, including a rate of $1,120 to $7,245 per assignment, depending on education and experience.
