Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Materials Analyst to join our team at RECARO Automotive North America, Inc. as a key member of our Supply Chain department. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining consistent Material Flow to support the Master Production schedule (MPS) for our Clinton Township plant location.

Key Responsibilities
  • Supplier Release Management: Create and maintain accurate Supplier Releases to ensure timely delivery of materials.
  • Inventory Management: Maintain Inventory and Demand record integrity, utilizing tools such as CUM reconciliation and Capacity Management (Material Requirement Planning) to ensure supplier release accuracy.
  • Production Support: Collaborate with production teams to identify and prioritize variance issues that may impact production, and work together to resolve these issues.
  • Data Analysis: Analyze data to root cause the source of variance and identify permanent corrective actions to improve operating efficiencies and reduce costs.
  • Material Flow Management: Manage and track the flow of material between our main facility and external warehouses to ensure seamless supply chain operations.
  • Cycle Counting: Support cycle counting activities to maintain inventory accuracy and ensure compliance with company standards.
  • Part Transition Planning: Collaborate with Engineering teams to create Part Transition Plans, ensuring a smooth transition of materials and minimizing disruptions to production.
  • Key Performance Indicators: Maintain and communicate key performance indicators to stakeholders, providing insights into supply chain performance and areas for improvement.
  • Safety Stock Management: Establish and adjust safety stock levels for Purchased Parts to ensure adequate inventory levels and minimize stockouts.
  • Engineering Change Implementation: Assist in the coordination of engineering change implementation, ensuring timely and effective execution.
  • Freight and Inventory Budgeting: Assist in the development of Freight and Inventory budgets, ensuring accurate forecasting and planning.
  • S&OP Meetings: Participate in S&OP meetings to provide insights and recommendations on supply chain performance and areas for improvement.
Requirements and Qualifications
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management or any Engineering Field.
  • Experience: In the absence of a 4-year degree in an appropriate field of study, this position requires four (4) years of related experience (as Materials or Purchasing Analyst or Coordinator).
  • MRP Experience: 2+ years MRP (Material Requirements Planning) experience; preferably with experience dealing with international vendors.
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Suite Applications (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint) as well as Internet software and E-mail is required. Experience working within an ERP system, preferably PLEX, is a plus.
  • Language Skills: Spanish or German languages are a plus.
