Position Overview

GENERAL SUMMARY

The Master Relief Operator is responsible for demonstrating expertise across a variety of processes, procedures, and machinery to fulfill diverse operator roles within the production facility. This position serves as a key resource for troubleshooting and supporting operator tasks or production machinery.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

· Execute a range of operational tasks within the manufacturing setting, including advanced processing, machine operation, and relief duties for various roles (e.g., Receiver, Blend/Filler/CIP/Retort/Evaporator/Pasteurizer operators). This includes diagnosing issues and performing minor maintenance as necessary.

· Maintain cleanliness, setup, operation, and monitoring of production line equipment.

· Ensure appropriate materials are utilized for each product being manufactured.

· Complete all necessary documentation and conduct scheduled quality assessments.

· Analyze charts, screens, quality checklists, and specifications in both physical and digital formats.

· Perform cleaning and sanitation tasks as required to uphold equipment standards; finalize cleaning checklists post-production runs.

· Prepare machinery for subsequent runs, including necessary size adjustments.

· Troubleshoot and resolve moderate to complex operational challenges.

· Maintain effective communication with various departments, supervisors, and colleagues, promptly addressing any issues that may hinder production efficiency.

· Ensure all documentation is completed accurately and legibly, adhering to required standards and procedures.

· Review process and equipment performance data to enhance quality, throughput, and troubleshooting efforts.

· Assist in training initiatives within the functional area as needed.

· Adhere to all good manufacturing practices (GMP) and operate in compliance with corporate regulatory, food safety, quality, and sanitation standards.

· Uphold safe working conditions for all employees, ensuring compliance with all relevant health and safety regulations.

Compensation:

$21.75 per hour

Qualifications

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

· High school diploma or equivalent required.

· 2 to 4 years of experience in manufacturing or production, preferably within the dairy or consumer goods sectors.

· Certification and/or licensing may be required during employment.
