Position Overview

In the role of Director of Capital Markets, you will be responsible for overseeing financial transactions, analyzing market dynamics, negotiating agreements, and offering strategic advice to clients. This position demands exceptional leadership capabilities and the ability to collaborate effectively with both internal and external stakeholders.

This role will be based in our offices and will involve close interaction with our headquarters and global offices. You will manage the execution of cross-border transactions for our clients, reporting directly to the CEO.

Key Responsibilities

Client Engagement:

  • Guide clients through SPAC, Pre-IPO, or Traditional IPO processes.
  • Build and nurture strong client relationships, understanding their needs and delivering customized execution solutions.

Transaction Oversight:

  • Supervise the entire transaction lifecycle, from the creation of IPO term sheets to the preparation of financial statements.
  • Ensure timely execution while complying with regulatory standards and company policies.

Project Management:

  • Lead the transaction process from the Letter of Intent (LOI) stage to closing.
  • Participate in client meetings and provide negotiation support throughout the transaction.
  • Collaborate with internal teams, including sales, trading, research, and compliance, to enhance execution strategies.
  • Stay informed about market trends, regulatory changes, and industry best practices, offering strategic insights to senior management.

Team Leadership:

  • Mentor and guide a team of execution professionals, fostering high performance and continuous improvement.
  • Initiate process enhancements within the execution team to boost efficiency and client satisfaction.

Vendor Coordination:

  • Engage and coordinate with service providers, including auditors, legal teams, underwriters, transfer agents, and insurance brokers.
  • Maintain ongoing communication with all parties to ensure smooth operations and documentation alignment.

Reporting and Analysis:

  • Prepare investigative reports and data analyses for clients, covering registration statements, competitive advantages, and industry insights.
  • Engage in essential client meetings, providing timely support in response to regulatory developments.

External Representation:

  • Represent the firm at industry events, conferences, and client meetings, showcasing our brand and capabilities in the capital markets sector.

Qualifications

1. At least 5 years of relevant investment banking experience with a focus on execution.

2. Proven experience in client interaction, demonstrating the ability to cultivate strong and influential relationships.

3. A successful track record in managing complex transactions and client relationships.

4. Strong leadership skills with the capacity to inspire and motivate teams.

5. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, capable of engaging effectively with stakeholders at all levels.

6. Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment that promotes diversity and growth.

7. Bachelor's Degree required; advanced degree preferred.

8. Willingness to explore opportunities in the China market.
