Program OverviewOur Global Investment Banking (GIB) platform invites rising second-year MBA students to participate in a 10-week U.S. Summer Associate Program, providing an opportunity to experience the culture and atmosphere of RBC Capital Markets and gain insight into the role of a full-time Associate.
GIB offers a complete suite of strategic advisory services, as well as equity and debt capital raising capabilities, focusing on nine core industries and seven product groups, including Communications, Media and Entertainment, Consumer/Retail, Financial Services, Healthcare, Industrials, Power, Utilities and Infrastructure, Real Estate, and Technology.
Key Responsibilities- Work on a variety of live transactions and client-facing business development initiatives in all areas of GIB.
- Develop and preserve complex financial models.
- Contribute to the delivery of client meetings and presentations.
- Conduct research to analyze market trends.
- Research and analyze future opportunities.
We look for students in their penultimate year of study at an accredited 2-year MBA program, with 2+ years' work post-undergraduate experience, and the ability to manage multiple competing priorities and thrive in a fast-paced and challenging environment.
Applicants should possess strong competency in Collaboration, Relationship Building, Communication, Integrity, and Operating with Diverse and Inclusive Mindset, as well as a well-rounded set of interests and extra-curricular activities beyond academics.
What We OfferWe provide a strong foundation in fundamental investment banking skills, such as financial modeling and analysis, transaction execution and negotiation, and in-depth industry/product knowledge, as well as a better understanding of RBC's products and services.
Participants will have the support of a mentor, typically a full-time Associate or Vice President, and the opportunity to network and discuss career opportunities through a number of social events.
The good faith expected salary range for this position is $175,000, depending on factors such as the candidate's experience, skills, registration status, market conditions, and business needs.
