ADVANCED SECURITY SPECIALIST

As a dedicated security professional, the Advanced Security Specialist plays a crucial role in ensuring the safety and security of our operations. This position requires a strong ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a dynamic, high-tech environment. The Specialist will be responsible for patrolling company properties and maintaining security at designated locations, adhering to all applicable laws and regulations.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Maintain expertise in static guard post responsibilities
  • Strategically plan and implement security measures for SpaceX operations
  • Conduct advanced training sessions for security personnel
  • Perform in-depth research and analysis to support security initiatives
  • Guide fellow security team members in identifying and reporting suspicious activities
  • Uphold a professional appearance and conduct
  • Execute security operations as directed by leadership
  • Conduct routine patrols of assigned areas
  • Assess risks at critical SpaceX facilities
  • Provide mobile security assistance as needed
  • Respond to emergencies, offering leadership in critical situations
  • Develop and enhance emergency response protocols based on experience
  • Coordinate transportation operations for domestic flight hardware
  • Acquire advanced skills in areas such as emergency medical response and surveillance
  • Act as a liaison with law enforcement and community stakeholders

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • 8+ years of experience in military, law enforcement, security contracting, or corporate security, or 1+ years as a SpaceX Security Officer 2
  • 1+ year of experience in executive protection or emergency response

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor's degree or higher
  • Experience in military deployment or counterinsurgency
  • Proven track record in managing critical incidents
  • Experience as a Combat Medic, EMT-B, or Paramedic
  • Advanced medical emergency training
  • Demonstrated leadership in small teams
  • Strong integrity and character
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Ability to de-escalate conflicts
  • Experience in instructing security procedures
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
  • Team-oriented mindset
  • Passion for the future of space exploration
  • Proficiency in foreign languages

ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS:

  • Willingness to work various shifts, including overtime and weekends
  • Subject to pre-employment screening, including background checks and fitness tests
  • Random drug and alcohol testing may apply
  • Ability to stand for extended periods
  • Willingness to travel up to 15% for security needs
  • Valid driver's license required
  • Eligibility for a state security officer license
  • Must qualify for a U.S. Government security clearance

COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS:

The compensation for the Advanced Security Specialist role is $28.00 per hour. Your salary will be determined based on your qualifications, skills, and experience.

In addition to base salary, you may be eligible for long-term incentives, including stock options and bonuses, as well as comprehensive benefits such as medical, dental, and vision coverage, a 401(k) retirement plan, and paid parental leave. You will also accrue paid vacation and receive paid holidays throughout the year.
