Position Summary:
We are seeking a Senior Applied AI Engineer specializing in security to join the Applied Research segment of Microsoft Security AI Research (MSECAIR). This role involves conducting research to develop distinctive products and services within Microsoft's Security Division.

Key Responsibilities:
1. **AI Development and Automation:** Collaborate with research and product teams to create advanced AI services and automation tools that mitigate security risks, enhancing detection and response capabilities.
2. **AIOps System Architecture:** Design and implement scalable AIOps systems for production environments, ensuring operational efficiency.
3. **Experimentation:** Engage in the development of AI experimentation platforms to drive continuous enhancement of AI models and user experiences.
4. **Cross-Functional Collaboration:** Work closely with senior technical staff from various Microsoft Security products to integrate and improve security solutions.
5. **Technical Design and Innovation:** Create detailed technical designs and architectures to transition research innovations into viable products.
6. **Leadership and Collaboration:** Promote leadership and teamwork across research and product teams, fostering a collaborative environment.

Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or a related technical field, with a minimum of 4 years of technical engineering experience in programming languages such as C, C++, C#, Java, JavaScript, or Python.
- Proven experience in SecDevOps and MLOps/AIOps is preferred.
- Familiarity with large-scale ML/AI-based services, particularly in the security domain on cloud platforms.

Technical Skills:
- Proficiency in Python, PyTorch, TensorFlow, or similar machine learning frameworks.
- Experience with LLMs (Large Language Models) and OSS GenAI frameworks.

Compensation:
The typical base pay range for this role is competitive and varies based on location and experience.
