Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Product Engineer to join our Texas Materials and Process department. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for leading the development of microelectronics used in cutting-edge military and defense-related hardware.

Key Responsibilities
  • Utilize statistical process control techniques and experimental designs to identify root cause and corrective action for systemic production and design issues.
  • Implement process improvements to drive down cost and improve yields.
  • Develop and maintain assembly methods, material selection, and process development for current and next-generation technologies.
  • Evaluate materials, equipment, and processes, including interfacing with key internal and external suppliers to resolve technical issues.
  • Interface with various functions, including Quality, Reliability, Electrical, Mechanical, Systems, Manufacturing, and Operations.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM preferred) and a minimum of 5 years of prior engineering experience.
  • Ability to work in a clean room environment.
  • U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with microelectronic and circuit card assembly, including surface mount technology (SMT), component under fill, staking, and solvent cleaning processes.
  • Experience with environmental stress and screening - thermal cycling, acceleration, leak detection, etc.
  • Experience with running designed experiments (DOEs), statistical data handling and analysis.
  • Experience with root cause/corrective action and problem-solving methodologies.
