Job Summary

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Wedding Coordinator to join our team at St. Luke's United Methodist Church. The successful candidate will be responsible for coordinating and managing up to 40 weddings and related events per year, providing exceptional customer service to couples, families, and guests.

Key Responsibilities
  • Meet with potential couples to discuss wedding details and policies
  • Coordinate with vendors, volunteers, and church staff to ensure smooth event execution
  • Develop and maintain venue policies, pricing, and procedures
  • Manage event calendars, checklists, and paperwork
  • Lead wedding rehearsals and coordinate day-of events
  • Collect and distribute wedding fees, and maintain financial records
  • Train and communicate with substitute coordinators, as needed
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required; Bachelor's degree in event planning or related field preferred
  • 1-2 years of event planning experience
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and time management skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Strong attention to detail and customer service skills
