Position Overview:

This role is integral in providing audio-visual assistance for a variety of events and conferences, ensuring a seamless experience for all participants. The individual will be responsible for maintaining the functionality of our meeting spaces, including auditoriums and numerous conference rooms.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver audio-visual support for events primarily at the main location.
  • Provide supplementary AV assistance at alternate sites as necessary.
  • Oversee the operational readiness of conference rooms and auditoriums for meetings.
  • Participate in AV planning sessions and technical rehearsals.
  • Set up microphones for speakers and attendees.
  • Assist presenters in preparing and loading their presentations.
  • Troubleshoot basic issues with laptops and AV equipment.
  • Operate control room technology, including video and audio switches, cameras, and streaming devices.
  • Support various meeting platforms such as Zoom, Teams, and Whova.
  • Conduct routine maintenance and provide technical support for conference room equipment.
  • Act as the primary contact for resolving AV-related hardware and software challenges.
  • Coordinate with vendors for the repair of malfunctioning equipment.
  • Address video conferencing connectivity issues.
  • Assist in the setup and upkeep of the AV network infrastructure.
  • Support after-hours meetings and events as required.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in a relevant field.
  • Preferred industry technical certifications.
  • A minimum of three years' experience in enterprise IT hardware or AV equipment support.
  • Experience with meeting platforms such as Zoom, Teams, or Webex.
  • Proven experience in customer-facing technical support roles.
  • Ability to learn and adapt to high-end AV technology in a fast-paced environment.
  • Competence in resolving basic PC and Mac hardware issues.
  • Familiarity with office applications, particularly PowerPoint.
  • Strong interpersonal, time management, and service delivery skills.
  • Effective written and verbal communication abilities.

Physical Requirements:

The role requires the ability to remain seated or standing for extended periods, reach and grasp objects, and manipulate equipment. Candidates should be able to communicate effectively and possess the ability to move materials weighing several pounds.
